케빈 켈리 ( Kevin Kelly)는 와이어드의 수석 편집장이고 통제불능(out of control)의 저자이다. 로드아일랜드 대학을 중퇴했고 1994년과 1997년에 미국 올해의 잡지상을 수상했다. 그의 저서로는  True Films(2006), 기술의 충격 : What Technology Wants(2010), 인에비터블 :The Inevitable 등이 있다.

케빈 켈리는 정확하게 지금 경제의 흐름을 읽었다. 공급과 수요의 법칙을 잊으라, 더 이상 우리가 사는 경제는 희소를 따라 가는 게 아니라 풍부함을 따라가야 한다. 무조건 웹사이트 먼저 공략하라. 공짜로 먼저 제공하며 그것을 통해 수익을 만들어라.  이 책이 출판된 게 1999년이라고 하니 놀랍다. 그때 그는 20년이 지난 지금 우리가 느끼고 있는 경제를 예리하게 통찰하고 있었다니 확실히 앞서 보는 사람은 생각이 나와 다른 것 같다. 지금 그가 앞으로 10년 후 20년 후의 경제를 어떻게 말하는지 그를 만나 묻고 싶어 진다.
